We only need to take a step back, identify something we've never tried before and something that makes sense and just try that. For many gurus, one thing really works very well for them that many of the smaller fishes don't even think about trying. I wonder why ...

Because what we just said has never been truer. Everytime you truly give (and not give because you want to receive), you always receive back in return (and often more than enough). If you've given away your name and email address often enough, you'll notice that a lot of these emails come with free bonus gifts, et cetera.

There are several reasons why they do this. And one of them of course is to keep you happy on that list so that when they have something to market to you, it won't feel so wrong and you'll be inclined to take a look at what they have to offer (because of the law of reciprocity).

Tips and Tricks to build traffic with free giveaways:

1) Source for your free giveaway item. Either create it or get one made with your name on it. It doesn't have to be something very elaborate. A neat little report or vouchers will work.

2) If you really can't source for your own item (there really is no reason to be so ... but), then look elsewhere to get a free gift. A free gift (from externally) is better than no free gift at all.

3) Once you've got your free giveaway item, be sure to have your name and at the very least, site url on it. After all, you want to get some free traffic from all these giveaways.

4) Like anything else, the more visibility you gain, the better. With your free giveaway, give it away everywhere. You can give it away via Google Adwords. Or thru article and bum marketing. Or forum marketing (this works really well). Also, look for freebie directories to place your free gifts (will show you how to source for freebie directories in a bit).

5) Oh ... and please give something OF value that you truly believe they can use. Suppose you run a site related to golf, ideas for free giveaways could be a free report on better golf swing or the best 100 golf courses in the world. Hope you get the picture. =)

6) Most popular freebie offers on the internet happen to be laptops and games!
